Description: During World War I, Wilson served first as Commander, Patrol Forces, Atlantic Fleet and then as Commander, U.S. Naval Forces in France. Coontz was Commandant of the Puget Sound Navy Yard and 13th Naval District throughout the war. Rodman commanded Battleship Division 9, which famously served with the British Grand Fleet at Scapa Flow.
