TELEGRAM

Washington, June 27, 1898.  

     As soon as Sampson1 give the order, you will sail with the Iowa and the Oregon, the Newark and Yosemite, the Yankee, the Dixie for St. Michael, Azores for orders en route to Rangier. Colliers ordered to join you at St. Michael’s. If they have not arrived when you have reached there, leave a cruiser to convoy them and follow. Shift your flag to the Iowa.
