LST-810 was laid down on 8 August 1944 at Evansville, Ind., by the Missouri Valley Bridge & Iron Co.; launched on 21 September 1944; sponsored by Mrs. Leonard S. Shroyer; and commissioned on 13 October 1944.
During World War II, LST-810 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific theater and participated in the assault and occupation of Okinawa Gunto from April through June 1945. Following the war, LST-810 performed occupation duty in the Far East until early February 1946. She returned to the United States and was decommissioned on 18 July 1946 and struck from the Navy list on 28 August that same year. On 14 October 1947, the ship was said to William E. Skinner, of New York City, N.Y., for scrapping.
LST-810 earned one battle star for World War II service.
