Eleanor (S. P. 677)

Former name retained.

Eleanor (S. P. 677), a motorboat, was built by Murray and Tregurtha, South Boston, Mass., in 1910; free leased to the Navy; and commissioned on 9 July 1917, Ensign C. H. Derby, USNRF, in command. Assigned to the 1st Naval District, she patrolled in the Boston area until the end of World War I. Eleanor was decommissioned on 12 December 1918 and returned to her owner on 14 April 1919.
