Lone Star

Lone Star, a light draft steamer built in 1854 at Louisville, Ky., was operated out of Galveston, Tex., where she was chartered by the Texas Marine Department [See Annex III] in July 1863. She served as a transport in Texas coastal waters for the remainder of the war.
