CSS Junaluska, also known as Younalaska, was built at Philadelphia, Pa., in 1860, purchased at Norfolk, Va., in 1861 and assigned to duty in the coastal waters of Virginia and North Carolina. She assisted CSS Curlew and CSS Raleigh in capturing the United States tug Fanny in Loggerhead Inlet, N.C., on 1 October 1861. She continued to operate along the coast of North Carolina until August 1862, when she was dismantled and sold.
