Scope and Content Note

This collection contains the papers of Alfred G. Zimmerman from his admission to the U.S. Naval Academy in 1905 until his retirement in 1960. Zimmerman was an ordnance officer who served in both world wars and Korea. He wrote many technical articles relating to his field. Items included in this collection are correspondence, memos, general orders, publications, newspaper clippings, souvenirs, and miscellany.
