Title: Corpsman Second Class William W. Strader
Caption: Hospital Corpsman Second Class of Emporium, Pennsylvania, treats children at the Can Tho Orphanage to candy during one of his biweekly visits. Strader, who contributes his own time to provide the Vietnamese children with needed medical treatment, also collects donations from fellow Navy men at Binh Thuy for food and other supplies. Little Mai, the girl on his arm, was chosen by Strader for legal adoption, a complicated process for Americans, June 1969.
