This view, taken from The Eastward or Windward of The Battle, shows Howe's Flagship Queen Charlotte breaking through the French Line. On her port side she is engaging The MONTAGNE, while raking the Jacobin with her starboard guns. The MONTAGNE is setting her top-gallant sails to disengage. In the distance, HMS MARLBOROUGH is engaging other French ships.
