Caption: Men of a Navy combat demolition unit load TNT aboard a rubber dinghy, en route to a channel site that they are blasting open, at Morotai, 15 September 1944. The explosive is contained in a specially prepared rubber hose to permit blasting of long narrow channels. Eight tons of it were used in one blast. The men are working on board a converted LCI. Raft appears to be a LCR(L).
