Caption: Cruises in an inlet in the southern tip of South Vietnam in search of craft carrying personnel and supplies to the Vietcong, 22 June 1966. Sixty-five of these fiberglass boats, powered and guided by twin jets of water, recently joined patrol operations. Each PBR, with a crew of four, has twin .50 caliber machine guns forward and a single machine gun aft and can patrol at 25 knots far into the inlets and coves of South Vietnam.
