Caption: Photographed at Genoa on 17 July 1886, during the review of the "permanent squadron" for King Umberto I of Italy, taken by Alfred Noack of Genoa. The battleship AFFONDATORE (1865-1907), with two white funnels, appears in the left background. The battleship PRINCIPE AMEDEO (1872-1910) is barely visible to the right. BAUSAN was a unit of the "Maneuver squadron," an exception to the other ships present.
