Caption: Two views of Soviet "SHCH-111" (Soviet project X ) submarines in the Baltic. The upper view of SHCH-324 (1935-1941) was taken on 22 June 1938; the lower view of an unidentified unit (either SHCH-318 (1935-circa 1958) or, less likely, SHCH-323 (1935-circa 1958)) was taken during 1944. Note that in the lower view the bulwarks around the after gun mount on the sail have been removed.
