Caption: When every bunk and every ward was filled, cots were obtained from the fleet and set up on the spacious bridge deck and filled with happy British, Australian, and Japanese ex-prisoners to whom even the cots seemed like a bit of heaven after three and a half years in a Japanese prison camp, September 1945.
