Caption: Scene at Kanoya Airfield, Japan, Just prior to the departure of Lieutenant Commander Goro Nonaka's "OHKA" (Baka) bomb carrying bomber groups on a mission to attack U.S. Navy carrier forces operating off Japan, on 21 March 1945. Virtually all of these bombers were shot down by defending U.S. Navy fighters, and no "OHKA" hits were scored. Note the unit's distinctive "HI RI HO KEN TEN" banner.
