Insignia: USS PULASKI COUNTY (LST-1088)
Title: Insignia: USS PULASKI COUNTY (LST-1088)
Caption: This insignia was adopted in 1965. It is based on the Pulaski family crest and the battle banner used by Count Pulaski's cavalry corps in the American Revolution. The seven stars, of the eight pointed variety used on the banner, and the Latin motto "The ship of seven states," are used to represent the seven counties in seven states (Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, and Virginia) for which the ship is named.
