Caption: Sketch by William Lewis, USN, circa 1814-1815, probably done during the cruise of USS EPERVIER in the Mediterranean in 1815. Lewis was a member of her crew and was lost with her in that year. Note: this sketch has been captioned as representing the EPERVIER but that is incorrect as she was a brig.
