Description: Commander-in-Chief, U.S. Atlantic Fleet Postcard published in Japan to commemorate the Great White Fleet's visit there in October 1908. This card features a view of Rear Admiral Sperry (wearing Special Full Dress uniform, with fore-and-aft hat) on a well-decorated dock at Yokohama. Two U.S. Navy steam launches are alongside the dock. The reverse of this card is essentially identical to that seen in Photo # NH 106114-A-KN. The card was mailed on 20 December 1908 from Seattle, Washington, to Miss Tillie Cathcart of Jersey City Heights, New Jersey. Collection of Chief Quartermaster John Harold.
