Caption: On 5 August 1781, depicting the Dutch ship DE BATAVIER lying disabled to windward of the Dutch fleet, with the frigates AMPHITRIDE and WAAZAAMHEID maneuvering to support her against the approaching English fleet. The Dutch fleet is in the center, with DE BATAVIER in the right middle distance and the English fleet at far right. The Dutch convoy is at far left.
