This scheme is known to have been applied to USS Princeton (CVL-23), USS Cowpens (CVL-25) and USS San Jacinto (CVL-30). This plan shows the ship's port side. It was approved by Captain Henry A. Ingram, USN. Official U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.
