Subject matter includes groups of crewmembers aboard ship; views of the fleet at sea in Okinawa; crew on Okinawa (village scenes and general group shots); crew on the Marshall Islands (village scenes and general group shots); grouping of Chief Petty Officers aboard ship; views of battleships, aircraft carriers, etc. (including USS Missouri (BB-63) and USS Waterman (DE-740)) in the distance and alongside USS Lamons (at unknown locations); Crossing the Line ceremony events and activities; sailing through the Panama Canal; onboard guns (twin 40mm and 3”/50), ship’s interior rooms (chief’s quarters); views of the ship in heavy seas; and flying a homeward bound pennant.
