Collection of 20 images related to the naval career of LT Robert Draper Hill. Photos show Hill in various poses modeling the features of the Anti-G suit pants worn by aviators to withstand high g loads during flight. There is also a portrait of Hill in a pilot’s leather jacket and uniform. The collection also consists of several official photos from the early 1940s related to aviator training and aircraft, including the N3N (an American tandem-seat, tandem-seat, open cockpit, primary training biplane) at the Naval Air Station Sqantum, MA., as well as several crashes of N2S models at Naval Air Station Memphis, TN. There is a single photograph taken on Johnston Island (Atoll) June, 26, 1944, of the eight men stationed at Zero Tower at the runway. LT Hill was the officer in charge, according to the caption on the reverse of the image.
