The late afternoon at the hanger area at Kodiak is a crowded scene of activity as OS2Us and other search planes come in from maneuvers and patrols of the day. In the foreground is the huge wing of a PBY. These big ships not only patrol for enemy surface craft but also haul mail and personnel.
