Operations letter of 23 January regarding transatlantic lanes,1 it is recommended that unless local conditions render inadvisable westbound vessels from Brest proceeding via route A first proceed to point Latitude 49 degrees N. Longitude ten W. in order to keep well to the Northward of regular line for Eastbound vessels throughout the entire voyage stop Westbound vessels from Brest proceeding via route B first proceed to point Latitude 47 degrees thirty minutes N. Long. Ten degrees W as now required and thus keep to Southward of regular lanes for Eastbound vessels.2 25025  SIMS
