Zenda (S. P. 688)

Zenda, a wooden-hulled motorboat built in 1912 at Neponset, Mass., by George Lawley & Sons, was acquired by the Navy on 19 May 1917 from Mr. Francis S. Eaton. Commissioned on 25 June 1917, Zenda served in the First Naval District as a district patrol vessel for the duration of World War I.
Decommissioned soon after the Armistice [11 November 1918], she was returned to her owner on 30 January 1919. Her name was stricken from the Navy list that same day.
