Former name retained.

Coyote (No. 84), a motor boat purchased by the Navy on 7 April 1917, was turned over to the 9th Naval District for patrol duty at the Naval Training Station, Great Lakes, III., and at Chicago. She was utilized also to instruct enlisted men and transport supplies. She was stricken from the Navy List on 17 June 1919 and sold.
