Scope and Content Note

The Bureau of Medicine and Surgery gathered this collection from various sources. The records were transferred in several accessions from 1986-1988. The records include both official documents and logbooks from various naval medical commands and personal papers from Medical Corps personnel. The resulting collection provides an eclectic view of the Medical Corps from the early 19th century to modern times. The subgroups are as follows:
