NH 65200-KN Insignia: U.S. Naval Submarine School

Insignia: U.S. Naval Submarine School
Title: Insignia: U.S. Naval Submarine School
Caption: This insignia was adopted in or before 1960. It is inscribed in a circle, a complete and perfect geometrical shape. The dolphin, traditional symbol of submarines, is gold in color of the sea. The dolphin is depicted in a position of diving to the depths, while looking toward new horizons of technical knowledge, as knowledge as symbolized by the open book, and through submarine experience as symbolized by the submarine in the sea of blue. Thus "Out of the depths, sea power," gained through submarine knowledge and experience.
