9th Grade: Ocean Exploration Map Activity

Coastal exploration led to the discovery of a deep underwater canyon off the coast of Point Hueneme. High School students will use geographic data, maps, satellite images, photographs, and other representations to explain relationships between the locations of places and regions, and the political, cultural, and economic dynamics. The Museum uses the California History Social-Science Framework to develop activities and programs.
