12:00 p.m. to 13:00 p.m., Bldg.76, Museum Education Center, National Museum of the U.S. Navy
Bring your lunch and listen to one of the authors of "This Is No Drill", Robert Cressman, give a talk on the history of U.S. Naval Air Station, Pearl Harbor. For the commemoration of the attack, this talk details the combat narrative of the 7 December 1941 Japanese attack on one of the two naval air stations on the island of Oahu. You will see the attack not only from the defending American perspective, but from the side of the Japanese who aimed to put the air station out of action to prevent U.S. airplanes from searching for their carrier force.
