USN 709912:  Robert J. Boye, of the Naval Research Laboratory, makes adjustments on a radio telescope used to record solar activity during the International Geophysical Year.  Charted records obtained in this may supplement photographs obtained with a special telescopic camera known as a Lyot Monochromatic Heliograph.  The installation at the laboratory is the central solar patrol station in the eastern-time zone.   Photograph released July 5, 1957.
