USN 710310:    TV-Type Camera for Lunar Probes.  Navy Builds TV-Type Camera to Photograph from Lunar Probes.  Navy scientists have designed and built a TV scanner system to picture the moon.  The unit was carried in the Air Force Lunar Probe Fighter Rocket launched on October 11, 1958, in an attempt to orbit the moon.  Constructed at the Naval Ordnance Test Station, China Lake, California, the unit was designed to scan the surface of the moon from horizon to horizon, gradually covering the whole moon’s surface as the satellite advanced around the moon.
