Four members of Major General James Doolittle’s Raiding Party that dropped bombs on Tokyo exchange smiles with Chinese soldiers under picturesque parasols.  Photograph was taken during interim American fliers spent in China after crash landings on the Asiatic mainland following the raid.  U.S. Army photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.  (2017/05/02).
