U.S. Navy at Other Alaskan Locations

This section pertains to U.S. Navy air bases and ship facilities at miscellaneous Aleutian Islands and at the U.S. Naval Air Station at Kodiak, which was established in June 1941.    During the Aleutian Island Campaign, they assisted in the bombing of Attu and Kiska Islands and later protected U.S. Army and U.S. Navy locations from Japanese aerial and submarine attacks.
