Vought OS2U "Kingfisher"
Mainly utilized on observation and rescue missions in the Aleutian Islands Campaign, OS2U "Kingfisher" aircraft were suseptible to the wintery elements. Besides based onboard U.S. Navy warships, the aircraft were primarily based at Adak and Kodiak. Kingfishers were also assigned to the bases at Kiska and Port Althorp.
