80-G-150865:  WAVES Naval Officers, September 1943.  Lieutenant Junior Grade Joy Bright Hancock, USNR, and Lieutenant Junior Grade Eunice Whyte, USNR, are the only WAVES entitled to wear the Victory Medal of World War I.  Both are assigned to duty in the Bureau of Aeronautics, Navy Department, Washington, D.C.  They served as Yeomanettes in the last war.   Released September 16, 1943.   U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.
