80-G-707015:   Midshipman Wesley Brown, June 1949.   U.S. Naval Academy, Annapolis, Maryland.  Shown:  Laboratory exercise in Electrical Engineering, released June 3, 1949.  In this group is Midshipman Wesley Brown.   Note, Brown was the first African-American to graduate from the U.S. Naval Academy and served as a Civil Engineer, retiring in June 1969 with the rank of Lieutenant Commander.   Brown died on May 12, 2012.   U.S. Navy Photograph, now in the collections of the National Archives.  Note, the image is curved.
