To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Midway, the Hampton Roads Naval Museum is proud to partner with the MacArthur Memorial for a symposium on June 2 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. in the MacArthur Memorial auditorium. The Battle of Midway is often called the turning point of war in the Pacific. To commemorate the 75th anniversary of the battle, the museums are co-hosting a free full-day symposium. Four authors will speak on various perspectives from the conflict: Elliot Carlson, author of Joe Rochefort’s War; Anthony Tully, author of Shattered Sword; Walter Borneman, author of The Admirals and Timothy Orr, author of Looking Skyward.
