On the morning of December 7, 1941, the Imperial Japanese Navy attacked American military installations at Pearl Harbor, Hawaii. Over 2,000 people died during the attack, which propelled the United States into the Second World War. Join the MacArthur Memorial and the Hampton Roads Naval Museum to commemorate the 80th anniversary of the attack on Pearl Harbor. During this virtual event, historian Walter Borneman will speak about his book, Brothers Down: Pearl Harbor and the Fate of Many Brothers Aboard the USS Arizona, the story of 38 sets of brothers who served on Arizona, which sank during the attack. This presentation will be followed by a live Q&A with the speaker.

The virtual event will take place on Tuesday, December 7, 2021, at 7pm EST. This event is FREE to attend, but registration is required.
