Visiting the Great Lakes Naval Museum

The Great Lakes Naval Museum is open to the public free of charge and is located at the Main Gate of Naval Station Great Lakes. The Museum is open Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday from 1:00pm to 5:00pm and Friday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm. The museum is closed on federal holidays.

Parking is available for no fee in the Naval Station Great Lakes Visitors Parking lot immediately to the west of the Great Lakes Naval Museum.

Public Transportation

Public transportation to the Great Lakes Naval Museum is available via Metra's Union Pacific North Line. The train stop is Great Lakes, and the museum is located north of the station at the Naval Station Great Lakes Gate 1.

Group Visits and Field Trips
