Special Events

USS CONSTITUTION supports special events on the ship as much as possible. Please note however that special tours, retirements, change of commands, re-enlistments, and promotions must be conducted outside of the ship's tour hours.

Events may not be conducted before morning colors or during the 20 minutes prior to Charlestown's sunset time due to the firing of the ship's saluting battery for evening colors. All events are granted on a case-by-case basis.

USS CONSTITUTION receives requests for events nearly every day, and we are unable to approve all requests simply due to crew size and shipboard availability. Both the Executive Officer and Commanding Officer review each request and make every effort to approve all reasonable requests. All guests must bring a valid, government issued, photo ID to board the ship. Food, drinks, and/or open flames are not permitted aboard the ship at any time.

In order to schedule a special tour or event, please download our Special Events Request form.

Once completed, e-mail the form to constitution.events@navy.mil. If mailing the request, print out the Special Events Request form and mail to:

Volunteer Events

Volunteer photoUSS CONSTITUTION Sailors pride themselves on community service and frequently participate in volunteer events throughout the greater Boston area. If you have an upcoming volunteer event and would like to request the assistance of CONSTITUTION Sailors, e-mail ET2 (SS) Adam Way, USS CONSTITUTION Community Relations Program Coordinator, at adam.way@navy.mil.

All volunteer requests are reviewed by CONSTITUTION's Commanding Officer and are approved on a case-by-case basis. CONSTITUTION Sailors are only authorized to attend volunteer events located within a 50-mile radius of Charlestown, MA.

 

 

 

Color Guards

Color guard photoIf you are interested in having a color guard from USS CONSTITUTION attend one of your upcoming events, e-mail constitution.events@navy.mil to make a formal request.

All color guard requests are reviewed by CONSTITUTION's Commanding Officer and are approved on a case-by-case basis. CONSTITUTION Sailors are only authorized to attend color guard events located within a 50-mile radius of Charlestown, MA.
