*Sarah Emory Stiles (1793-1835) was the wife of John Steele Stiles (1788-1847), who served as a Lieutenant in the Marine Artillery from 1808 to 25 March 1814, when he was commissioned a 1st Lieutenant in the Union Artillery battery that fought at the Battle of North Point on 12 September 1814.
