Wauwatosa

(YTB-775: dp. 356 (f.); l. 109'; b. 31'; dr. 14'; s. 12 k. (tl.); cpl. 12; cl. Natick)

A city in southeastern Wisconsin located five miles west of Milwaukee. Its name is of Indian origin, but the meaning is obscure.

Wauwatosa (YTB-775) was laid down in August 1964 at Marinette, Wis., by Marinette Marine; launched in May 1965; and placed in service in June 1966. Since that time, the harbor tug has served with the Pacific Fleet at advanced bases in the western Pacific. As of January 1980, she remained active with the Pacific Fleet.
