LST-1009

LST-1009 was laid down on 22 February 1944 at Quincy, Mass., by the Bethlehem Steel Co.; launched on 23 March 1944; and commissioned on 22 April 1944.

Following World War II, LST-1009 performed occupation duty in the Far East until mid-April 1946. She was decommissioned on 17 July 1946 and transferred to the United States Army. The ship was struck from the Navy list on 14 March 1947
