Marques de la Ensenada (Cruiser, 1890-1900)
Marques de la Ensenada, a small cruiser or gunboat of
the Isla de Luzon class, was launched in February 1890
at Carraca, Spain. Stationed at Havana, Cuba, before and during
the Spanish-American War, she returned to Spain following that
conflict.

Marques de la Ensenada
(Spanish Gunboat or Small Cruiser, 1890-1900)
At Kiel, Germany, during ceremonies marking the opening of the
Kiel Canal in 1895. The bow of the Spanish battleship Pelayo
(1887-1925) is in the right background.
