Previously named Joseph O'Riorden.
Served as USS Dorothy Cullen (ID # 2183) in 1918-1920
Dorothy Cullen, a 99 gross ton (280 tons displacement)

by the Cullen Transportation Company of New York City, the tug
was inspected by the Third Naval District and, in early September
1918, she was taken over by the Navy. Later purchased from her
owners, she was placed in commission in mid-September as USS Dorothy
Cullen (ID # 2183). She served for more than a year in the
New York harbor area, performing towing and minesweeping duties.
Decommissioned in October 1919, Dorothy Cullen was sold
in July 1920.
