Closeup view of her after half, from the port side, at the Mare Island Navy Yard, 19 April 1942, following overhaul.
Note her SOC seaplanes, 5"/25 guns and ready service ammunition, after smokestack, searchlights, "horse" collar emergency life float alongside the railing in lower right center and top edge of armor belt.
