British Kent Class Cruiser
Fitting out at a British shipyard, circa 1926 (possibly 1 August 1926).
Despite the inscription on the original photograph, this is not HMS Devonshire, which was of the later London class and did not have the hull bulges seen on this ship. Also note the short smokestacks, which were substantially lengthened immediately after the Kent class cruisers (Kent, Berwick, Cornwall, Cumberland, and Suffolk) were completed.
