World War I Ship Camouflage
Models of the British passenger liner Mauretania demonstrate the effects of "dazzle" camouflage in comparison with a plain grey color scheme, when seen from the same line of direction. Photographed circa 1918.
The camouflage scheme seen here was not used on Mauretania.
