Normandy Invasion, June 1944
German gun emplacement on the Normandy coast, which was knocked out of action by Allied aircraft.
This pillbox featured guns with a 10¼-inch bore, protected by concrete walls thirteen feet thick. The battery had four big guns, and included a secondary battery of 88mm guns.
